NEW GATES AT THE MASKELL ROAD ENTRANCE

Our fourth improvement project, the automated gates at the Maskell Road entrance and the resurfacing of the rest of Rosemary Road have now been successfully completed, again supported by a generous grant from Wandsworth Council of over £18,000.

We started off with resurfacing the first part of Rosemary Road just outside Bramfields right through to Riverside Road alongside Bayes. Then came the Riverside Road Gates, which have been vital for the security of the estate, followed by the resurfacing of the two Riverside Side Roads and numerous Forecourts. At that time we also looked at the drainage system and started a program of regular maintenance and repair.

There is plenty to be proud of and a big thank you to all the businesses who have supported the improvement plans with voluntary contributions and to Wandsworth Council who provided a grant of 1/3 of the overall costs. Like Wandsworth Council other organisations, Soloman and SWELTRAC, also contributed generously with grants and advice.

However, without the committee members, especially David Guyan, the chairman of the committee, and Alan Thompson, our Estate Consultant, this would not have been a success story. They worked tirelessly to make it all happen.

Now, that the BID (Business Improvement District) is in place for the next 5 years, we can continue with not only improving the estate, but also with maintaining what we have invested so far.
