Election of Directors: The following five directors of the newly formed "GARRATT BUSSINESS PARK BID LTD" were elected:
The post of director is a voluntary position. The directors receive no fees and it is expected that they spend many uncharged hours on estate matters and will in general not claim for expenses.
BID Levy: So far 50 out of 66 businesses had paid the BID levy with a further 5 indicating they are going to pay. This has brought in funds of £40,200 out of a possible £55,420 (80%). Court proceedings have been held off to give businesses ample time to pay and state their case, but actions will be taken soon to collect the levy, as it is now many months overdue.
Approval of next project: It has been agreed in principle that CCTV should be extended to all parts of the estate. Wandsworth Council has confirmed that the project is eligible for a grant similar to the one we received in previous years and National Grid have indicated that they could pay a substantial contribution towards the cost of CCTV.
National Grid: David Guyan has spent considerable time discussing estate concerns with National Grid regarding the tunnel and the subsequent expansion of the substation. It is still planned to renovate the main Riverside Road to a very high standard but the work has been postponed to 2010. Promises have been made to deal with the potholes as soon as possible as a temporary measure.
To help with the Easement process regarding the tunnel National Grid are now prepared to make a substantial contribution to the estates CCTV plans, as it will improve security for all while the substation is under construction.
Drains: A formal maintenace plan is now in place starting on Saturday 18th July. This will be carried out by Cappagh. The chart/plan of the drains was on display at the general meeting. Priority will be given to Lyndon and Riverside Yard.
