Getting Ready for the 2026 Business Rates Revaluation

Businesses will need to keep abreast of developments regarding the revaluation of Business Rates in 2026. This is a changing landscape but as of late September 2025 the following is understood:

• The new ratings list is intended to go live on 1st April 2026.

• The updating relates to Rateable Values (RVs).

• Any possible transitional relief will be confirmed in the Autumn 2025 Budget in November.

• There will be some multiplier reform affecting business rates and a move towards tiered multipliers.

Please note that levy levels for BID 4 (2024–2029) are unaffected.
