British BIDs, the national representative organisation for Business Improvement Districts, has released its latest research on the current state of BIDs in 2025. The report, entitled “Business Improvement Districts in the British Isles 2025”, provides an insightful snapshot of the growth, relevance, and economic benefits of BIDs.
Here are a few key findings from the report:
As of April 2025, there are 347 BIDs in existence.
These BIDs represent 133,154 businesses/hereditaments.
They contribute £153,744,134 in 2025 terms.
There are 59 future BIDs currently in development.
The average BID comprises 413 hereditaments.
The average levy income per BID is £457,572 (compared to the median of £60,000).
