For many years, the upkeep and maintenance of Garratt Business Park (GBP) was funded by regular voluntary contributions from the majority of businesses based here.
The Management Committee at the time proposed that Garratt Business Park should become a Business Improvement District (BID) so that everyone trading within GBP could contribute their fair share towards a 5 year improvement programme.

BID I enabled us to ensure that the estate was properly managed and maintained, as well as providing a strong voice for our businesses inside and outside of the estate.
To enable us to continue our work we successfully renewed the BID in November 2013 with overwhelming support from the businesses within Garratt Business Park.
